How do I dispose of or recycle a broken snowblower?

If you receive recycling service from Montgomery County, you may request a curbside scrap metal collection for snowblowers (and similar lawn and garden tools). If the snowblower is gas-powered, drain it of fluids, as for a lawnmower.

We also accept scrap metal from County residents and businesses directly at our Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station.
